Arrival lounge is closed as of yet and no indication that will change any time soon, so no lounge in CDG.

Hope this is an OK post for this forum. Flying Business on AF from LAX to CDG next month. Can I expect to be lounge-less excepting the Delta Skyclub in T2 or Priority Pass access to the Alaska Lounge in T6? Thank you for any information!

We had a very recent report in this thread confirming that there is no lounge open in TBIT, unfortunately. So you may go to DL T2 if you have enough time.

NAP - Naples Capodichino

Name of the lounge : Pearl lounge in NAP Capodichino
Good news : a nice brand new lounge just opened early July in NAP and this is the one used by AF. No more crappy AZ lounge and welcome to PEARL lounge. At least there is one lounge open in Italy (paging AZ…)

Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements

Food offer when I was there : salad bar, fruits, selection of very good Italian cold cuts, warm dishes (rice, pasta, salmon, sauteed potatoes), croissants, etc

The buffet is not self-service because of Covid. An attendant is serving you F&B.

Drinks offer : spirits, Italian red and white wines, soft drinks, coffee

Says it opens at 05h15 on site. We will see. This will be in mid August anyway, so a lot can change before then.

Thank you! We do have 4 hours to kill in LAX, so if there is room in the Skyclub we will go there (it was getting way crowded when we passed through last week), or may even take a long walk to explore the terminals reachable from TBIT, and try to get into the Alaska Airlines Club on Priority Pass.

Pretty crummy situation, but will make us appreciate the service on the plane more...looking forward to green Chartreuse on the rocks!

Thanks for the report.
I'm surprised you could help yourself at the buffet. Did it seem like the new norm (ie no more staff-area, signs, etc) or just a temporary lack of workers that left the buffet unattended?

I am currently in 2F1 lower level, and I confirm that we are back to the self-service buffet.

same in 2F2 now :-)
And now in the plane you’ll also have the usual sweet or salty.

more convenient indeed for the PAX, but much less COVID-proof

That's a real downer. One of the upsides of Corona was being served food in the lounge rather than letting everyone dig into it and cough all over it. In fact, I had completely ceased touching buffet food in the lounges already a couple of years before Corona. You can be sure I had good reasons.

There is now strong evidence that "transmission from contaminated surfaces does not contribute substantially to new infections" (to quote the CDC). Hand hygiene when handling a worn mask might still be a sensible precaution, alright. But there's absolutely no justification anymore for things such as those sad plastic-wrapped croissants and rolls or separate boxes of cleaned and used pens at check-in desks.

Don't get me wrong, I like a la carte dining and serviced buffets, especially when looking at people behaving like pigs on self-serve buffets. However, we now know that we cannot reasonably expect any covid mitigation resulting from making a buffet serviced.

AF says we're departing Terminal B at BOD in 3 days, so have both the terminal and the lounge reopened?

As for last Tuesday (6AM), lounge was closed (but the flight left from Terminal B)

Let's hope that it will reopen asap.
