connecting time from 2D to 2F
As I live in Paris, it will be my first connection experience at CDG
Booked a flight arriving from Berlin at 8.20 pm (2D)
with departure to Venice at 9.15 pm (2F)
Any tips to make it fine? (with carry-on baggage)

Doable, but nevertheless I would suggest you pray:
1) that the flight from Berlin is not late.
2) that both flights arrive/leave at/from the same terminal. Although different terminals are indicated, they often change them. I once arrived, late, from ATH at 2D and ran like crazy to 2F (non-Schengen) getting at the gate 5 min before the departure of my connection. They did accept me, and I and a few more passengers were bussed back to 2D where we boarded the same plane that had brought me to Paris

I did about 25 layovers at CDG at the beginning of the year walking between 2D and 2F. Usual layover time was 50min and if I was hurrying (fast walking, not running) I could make it in 10min vom 2D to 2F.
Only tips needed: Follow the signs and as you are FB plat I strongly suggest that you use your status to go through the Access No. 1 gate at 2F.
This will save you a few mins. It's quite close to the small escalator you take to get up to the 2F level.

Thanks all! ^^
I felt stupid to ask this question, but as my flight to Venice is a romantic one, I do not want to miss it...

Hi Nicolas75. This is a doable connection if your TXL flight is on time. As they use big A321, make sure you dont sit at the back of the plane as it can take 10 min more to disembark (but you know that).
Looking at yeasterday arrivals, you can see that 2 TXL flights were on time, one had a 10 min delay (should be OK) and the other two had a 30 and 50 min delay.
With a Europe-Europe connection, you should not expect that they delay the departing plane for you or give you escort, as there are so numerous fligths a day. But for a famous man.... I hope that your romantic trip does not imply meeting a partner in Paris to fly together to VCE. This would be nerve-breaking. Yesterday, you would have missed the connection 2/5, so your parnter would have flown alone...

Similar question from another Paris resident who rarely changes planes in Paris:
I'll be arriving early morning (either 2F or 2E I guess) before connecting from 2D. I'll want to take a shower before continuing. Are there shower facilities at the 2D lounge? I seem to remember that there are, but not sure.
And if there are: how busy are they around 6.30-7am in the morning?
Thanks

Only chance for the OP I see would be to try to get into the airside area at 2F with your boarding pass. The security people there might not look too closely and even if, you're just a confused tourist...

It's not as bad as it sounds. The lounge in Shengen 2F has showers. The only problem is, when you're arriving at 2F you do not have access to them.

Still I find this actually as bad as it sounds. If as a Platinum card holder I have no "official" possibility to use a service which I think has become pretty much standard for status pax at any decent transfer hub (at least the ones CDG compares itself with) then I think this is lousy. Trotting over to 2C is not an option (time, distance), and sneaking my way into 2F I am afraid is more difficult than you make it sound as they actually do look what is on your BP. Security at CDG have this strange notion that you are a danger to humanity and aviation if you are not exactly in the terminal that is written on your BP (other airports are more logical: if you make it through security you are "clean", and it's your problem where you walk).
I guess I have to change to another connection going through FRA now. Which doesn't suit me time-wise (earlier departure) but at least there I can find the infrastructure that ensures that I don't turn up like a scruffy and smelly something at my meeting.

Well, the transfer experience at CDG is really bad UNLESS you are arriving and leaving from 2E! I (not very often now) usually arrive in 2E and leave from the same and both lounges I have been in there have had showers I think. Nice as well. 2D...never even been in its lounge. I previously did 2F often and it was pretty grim......
