Website points errors (double on website)!

My apologies if this was posted previously

I called Aeroplan for some info on stop-overs & found out by chance that the website was actually quoting double the miles for my Ottawa -Jamaica trip in January ( 80,000 vs 40,000 miles). I am an elite member & assumed seats were limited so the points value was higher. This also happened to me when booking my Olympic flights last March. Nothing on the website however seats available when I called. I called web support & if you call them & get a reference # before booking if there is an error, they will not charge the $31.50 fee.

So lesson learned, always call to check availabilty since the website seems to never have all the flights available and points value seems to be an issue on the website. (many are double!!)

Has anyone noted this before???
