Priority Baggage Improvements
AC is implementing an improvement to its priority (i.e Elite/Super Elite) baggage handling for all jet aircraft other than CRJ, 319 and DC9. Priority baggage will be put in a separate container for easy on and off. Last minute baggage will be handled as it is now in a special place by the regular luggage.
I have had excellent service on AC using priority tags except there is no apparent preference/priority on their regional carriers like Air BC.

The Air Ontario ground staff in Toronto seem to frown upon priority tags. Almost every time I fly from YYZ to YGK (Kingston, ON), they seem to rip off, and throw away the orange tags that have been stuck to the destination tag.
As well, in Kingston at least, they don't even seem to have priority tags to put on bags when outbound. This is rather silly, since about 90% of all pax from that city connect on to mainline AC flights. Does anyone else have an idea if this is common practice in regional airline only cities? This is an area in which Canadian is always much better than AC.

My experience with CP is that is seems more dependant upon the airport than anything else, and I suspect AC is the same. For example, in Bangkok, my bags are always amongst the first 10 or so bags, and the other 9 also have priority tags. Likewise for Halifax. Vancouver is usually within the first half of the first container. And in Toronto, I almost always get my bags the same day!
