Booking code conversion?

Booking code conversion?
So I'm counting on my CHC-YYZ trip to give me my elite qualifying miles this year but I would really like to save myself NZ$600 by flying with Air New Zealand instead of AC.
Problem with this is that I'm not sure how the booking codes transfer between airlines on codeshares. The CHC-YVR portion of the trip is on NZ metal, but YVR-YYZ is on AC. Booking through NZ lists the YVR-YYZ portion as booked in T class as a codeshare. Does this equal AC T or will it map to a different fare?
Confusing as it is... I just really want 100% status and an AC T booking code isn't going to cut it.
