Delayed flights

I know I'm probably in the wrong area, but I was hoping somebody could tell me how to find out about flight delays in Toronto last week. It probably would have been Wednesday or early Thursday. By delay, I mean a flight that would have been going from city A to city B, and had to make a stop in Toronto that caused it's passengers to need hotel rooms for the night.

Please don't flame me, my questions are in regard to a child abduction case.

If you know the flight number, you could plug it into flightaware.com for the day in question to see where it ended up and when.

Your query is a bit vague on what information, specifically, you are looking for.

Thanx, but I only have vague information. I don't even know what city A and city B are. All I know is the flight had to land in Toronto (not a scheduled stop).

I would have thought that wasn't a very common occurance, except maybe in the winter months.

For a start, you might have a look at which cities had severe weather on the day you are interested in (I know Ottawa had some pretty bad weather on Saturday) as there may have been some diversions. From there, you could compile a list of all flights to that city on the day, and then you could do a flightaware search on each one of those to see which were diverted (flightaware will give you a flightrack for a flight). Lots of tedium in there, but it might yield the info you need. There may be better and easier ways to find out what you want to know, but those are the ideas I have. Good luck.

You can search CADORS to see what happened at YYZ. Here's one that I found:

I assume this in relation to this:

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl.../National/home

If so, it may have been a private plane not necessarily commercial?
