Nar sorry I asked a question but then figured it out. so I removed the text :)

Though around $240.00 a piece isn't too bad I suppose & I guess your maybe flying AC which then added fuel charges.

Yeah, stuck with AC on the way back. Lufthansa just wasn't opening anything on the return and since it's July we were afraid of losing the flight going out there. $240 is certainly better than it would have been on AC both ways.

You couldn't get LH in out of YYC over AC? I think the fuel surcharge one way for both is about $220.

Didn't know LH flew Frankfurt into Calgary. They haven't released any of the Vancouver flights so I doubt if they did fly into Calgary they'd release those either.

I'm already on the the YVR - FRA on LH why would I want to add Calgary into the mix and make another stop? And on the way back, I'm starting in Marseille, I wouldn't make that 9:45 am flight unless I went the day before and stayed in Frankfurt overnight which given the choice, I'd rather spend my last vacation night in Provence ;)

$0.00 Taxes
Call centre fee waived since I couldn't complete the booking on AP.com

First time redeeming AP miles! Couldn't be happier!

For such open-jaw searches in the AP website, all I am getting is "The itinerary you have selected cannot be booked online". Is this sufficient to call and waive the agent's fees?

Booked: Sep '08
Travel date: Dec'08-Jan'09

YOW - ORD (UA)
ORD - PEK (UA)
PEK - SIN (SQ) (TURN)
SIN - NRT (SQ)
NRT - IAD (NH)
IAD - YOW (AC)

Total tax (Y class): CAD $124
Aeroplan fees: $0 (booked online with no stopovers)

Out of 6 segments, 1 was in AC. If none was in AC, the tax might have been even lesser is it?
