Did QANTAS move to the Northern Hemisphere?
TAM
Narrowbodies: 104 (A319/320/321)
Widebodies: 25 (A330/340/777)
QANTAS
Narrowbodies: 68 (737)
Widebodies: 81 (747/767/330/380)
More airplanes, more widebodies, seems like QANTAS are quite a bit bigger to me
TAM's claim of 'LEADERSHIP IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE' is based on more passengers boarded, and more flights operated, but they're still considerably smaller than QANTAS in terms of passenger-miles.

Thanks for the update 2k. Although I'm sure not everyone knew who TAM was, so beepyou was a valid question.
Only time I hear of TAM is when they have an accident. Didn't they have two accidents last year where there were no survivors? I don't think they have a good saftey record. But
that's just from what I've heard, no research done.

You may be confused with the Gol collision over the amazon basin.

You're right, I'm thinking of GOL. The one who collided with the private jet. The jet landed without incident but the GOL crashed killing everyone. Hard to believe one plane can land without injury, while the other plane didn't stand a chance....
