Why the discrepancy?

I was comparing the "Official" Excel chart of flight mileage with that obtained through Webflyer. In most cases, they are within about 10-20 miles. However, Webflyer has YVR-LAX at about 1080 miles while the chart is showing 800. Given the relative shortness of this flight, a 280 miles difference seems like a lot, any idea why this one is so different?

First, I assume you are referring to YVR and not YYZ?

Second, I think 1080 is correct for YVR-LAX, whereas 800 is YVR-SFO. Probably a simple mistake.

Sorry, I did mean YVR (my actual flight is YYZ-YVR-LAX), I'll check my original message.

Thanks for letting me know which one was correct.
