Changes to AP partners; do changes to hotel brands automatically affect AP?

Changes to AP partners; do changes to hotel brands automatically affect AP?

In specific, thinking of the Coral by Hilton partnership that is no more:

Yet AP still has Coral by Hilton on it's earning page:

http://www.aeroplan.com/earn_miles/o...?Partner=Coral

Just curious as to when these corp. shake ups occur what kind of contractual impact that has on FFP like AP. Would AP be bound to offer miles if you are staying at a Coral property that isn't affiliated any longer with Hilton?
