Hope you won't be forgotten.... ;)

Just so ya know.

Yeah, that's fair. I think if Harmony doesn't use those airplanes, they should be praised for using good sense.

I find it odd that they show their flights being operated by F100s and CRJs if they don't intend to in fact fly them.

IF HQ is losing buckets and IF the owner is looking for an exit and IF AC is concerned about a rival domestic J class how does this saga conclude?

Milton claims to have invested less than $15 million in SSV/Roots. Take the HQ numbers (x buckets of money/day x three years = anybody's guess). How does Milton eliminate this threat (if it even is one) on a 1.39% margin?

HQ updated the schedule and now is listing CRJ as the aircraft for their YVR-YYC runs. I can see them adding more CRJ quickly and add other some to medium haul routes.

Sounds like musical chairs over there. In theory, is there anything to stop Jazz from operating these flights on Harmony's behalf?

I would take CB's predictions of Dr. Ho looking to ditch HMY with a grain of salt. If that was his intent, why would he hire a high-profile President, and move them into (more) expensive offices in the old CP building?

There's an interesting thought. Jazz Air Inc. d/b/a Harmony Express?

Does jazz lease its planes from ACE or does it own them outright?

There is absolutely 0 chance that Jazz would ever do any flying for a domestic competitor.

How many people are going to fly on a CRJ YYC-YVR when there are dozens of inexpensive flights operated with real airplanes by AC and WS?

This page shows YYC being operated by Voyageur airways with a CRJ: https://cat.sabresonicweb.com/meridi...onFlex&corpID=

I sure hope that plane doesn't go mechanical...

HQ is not trying to capture the YYC-YVR market. HQ has made a commitment to enter that market to provide feed to YVR for SE Asia flights, including code shares and, ultimately, future flights on HQ's own metal.

There are a whole schwack of AC flights ex. YVR to YYC around Noon onwards that are 50% or more SE Asian connex. So many in fact that the gate is often 'co-manned' with a supplemental langauge speaker due to the high number of non-english speaking through pax.

Flying the HQ metal 757's on the YYC-YVR shuttle 3 times a day for what is primarily going to be feeder traffic is not efficient, hence the CRJ's.

If it'll get me to HNL or Asia for cheaper, I'll do it.

I spent Sat night at the YVR Fairmont and had an airside view again. Couldn't help but notice that on HQ 757 sat on the tarmac for my entire stay whilst another 2 came and went from Transborder over the course of 24 hrs. I always thought that airlines only made $$$ when the planes were actually in the air. ;)

Other observations while there were the very, very busy AS/QX ops there. At one point there were 4 AS 737s, and 3 QX Dash-800s, a couple AA 757s, and the dreaded AC CRJ-700 into SAN. UA had a number of flights as well but they seem to use the gates on the northside of Transborder for you can only see them when the pull back from the gates. ^

There is always one spare HQ aircraft parked in YVR and once a week there are two.
