If Harmony gets an airplane that'll fly reach Asia, they'll have 3 different fleet types, likely with fewer than a dozen aircraft in the fleet. Now that's smarts..... :D Anybody in the business would take $250K a month NG's or Airbus narrow bodies over $25K a month F100's. That's how bad they are. My stomach heaves at the operating economics of those slugs. I guess somebody is spending daddy's money. ;) Better luck next time CB... |
This is a funny read... If all the doughnut eaters in Canada were allowed to run Tim Horton's like some of you would like to run various airlines, the doughnut industry would be a disaster.
My job depends on the airline industry, and I thank god almost none of you are involved in decision making in this industry. '....Thinking about what we speak of... It's a revolution! Get onboard!' |

You know, reading this thread is entertaining.
All the experts. LeSabre, Simon, YYC OPS, and of course, parnel. What a concentration of expertise. What did Mike and Dana say? Oh ya, "We're not worthy!" The F100 is right where it should be. Parked in the Mojave, next to the CV-880s and BAE-146s. There was a gentleman who worked at WS who had a 30+ year career analyzing aircraft types for numerous airlines. When Jetsgo announced the F100 buy, I asked him what he thought. "They'll be gone within 6 months of starting to operate that airplane. The only worse type is the 146". I guess he was a little too generous. You wanted imperical data. Coffee Bean gave it to you. Then you blast off on ridiculous tangents. Coffee Bean has forgotten more about this industry than you armchair QBs will ever learn. Just so ya know. |

Mr. bean would have garnered more respect if he was able to give a balanced assessment of WS. Sadly he couldn't even bring himself to say anything remotely critical, couldn't even bear to comment on your lack of a pension plan. Sad really. |

Sounds like all the Westjitters here have a shrine to the mighty bean in their home. Part of the cult? Mr. bean would have garnered more respect if he was able to give a balanced assessment of WS. Coffebean, I'm kinda curious where came up with those numbers? Can you provide a link for them so we can see the source for ourselves? There are quite a few European operators running F-100's and have been for some time now. They seem to be doing just fine with them.
P.S. Jetsgo's demise had very little to do with the cost of running the F-100. |
