Wrong status e-mail?
I got an e-mail from Aeroplan 2 days ago saying that I qualified for 2006 Prestige.
However, right now I have 36899 status miles for 2005 and still waiting for a further 6861 miles from a flight Dec. 20 to post to my account. This is clearly more than 35000 miles required to re-qaulify for 2006 Elite status.
Do I need to do anything...call Aeroplan? or simply wait until end-2005?
The qualification period is until 31 Dec 2005 why do they send e-mails regarding status earned on dec 22?

Remember, if you think it's new news or if you think you're the only one with the one unique problem, most likely it's been covered on FT and is really old news.

Quick question: what was your status mile total as of Nov 15? If under 35k before then and not E/SE before then as well, then don't expect Elite till March 2006.

Then you were Elite for the past year? Give it some timeto settle I'd say ... you have 30 days till picking a 'package' anyway. As yyznomad has suggested, have a fly around the numerous other texts. Maybe something/another answer has popped up now or will before then - I'd suggest looking at your account a few days after January 1st. If not, give Elite a ring via the number on the back of your Elite card.
Happy holidays!

Doesn't seem like rocket science to me. No instant qualification for the OP, but the OP should be getting the E email later.

Not rocket science, but I think the whiskey is effecting me just a bit after dinner
What is nice about this is that whatever level of difificulty was seen in this thread - the answer has been relatively found.
A joyous occassion during this happy festive season! A small example of trying to return this a beautiful informative forum. Woo Hoo!!

I guess I get irked easily when there are thirty threads on the front page dealing with the same darn thing, and yet people used to b!tch at me and others for starting too many OT threads... so is it better to have thirty threads on the same topic on the front page or thirty different OT threads on the front page?
Oh well, whatever.

Well there are those of us that have also learned from you about the 'search' rather than 'destroy' method and I hope that I am better for it. If I do have to ask anything informative now, I am sure I'll search beforehand - less than when I was a newbie.
Other posts ... well that is another story.
