Missing ac.com computers

I recently discovered that the ac.com computers have been removed from YOW which, at the time, caused me a great inconvenience. I noticed today that they have also been removed from YYZ. Does anyone know, have they been removed from all airports? If so, do you know why?

Are you talking about the check-in computers?

There used to be computers available for customer use in the departures areas of Canadian airports. You could only go to Aircanada.com - the intent at the time was to increase usage of the website...I think this may have been around the same time they introduced the ability to makes changes online.

Never saw them...

The fact that I make a bee line for an MLL probably explains this...

Something tells me that the vast majority of the travelling public couldn't care about accessing aeroplan.com while at the airport and that the other part do it from the MLL.

The only people I ever saw using them were staff making changes to their standby reservations.

I am speaking of the computers in the departures area. They were installed so that we could access ac.com to make reservations, change reservations, check-in, or access an upgrade on a city pass. They have been removed and no one knows why?

I have asked several AC staff, including Concierges, and almost all of them had no idea that they were removed. I have written to AC, but have not received a reply.
