According to yesterday's New York Times, Mr. Arar ended up stopping in NYC on his way home so he could use his FF miles....
"... When his name popped up at J.F.K. - he had taken a circuitous route home from Tunisia to use frequent-flier miles - he was held for 13 days while American agencies considered his fate."
