I still got the impression that (reading between the lines and some innocent comments) that frequent flyers, especially those d*mn SEs and instant kk) are seen more as an expense than a revenue item. quote from BlondeBomber
Hi Simon- It was Blondebomber's quote that precipatated my observation about instant KK. Obviously, I'm a big supporter of instant KK, maybe too big a supporter for some, so I'm pleased to hear that AP holds the benefit in high esteem. |

I'm sure if they did some market research, they'd find that 'instant KK' is by far the primary reason earning and maintaining SE status. But with greatly diminished points earning potential for most people, they are even reducing the opportunities SEs will have to actually take advantage of the Instant KK feature. |

I have used instant KK many times including booking flts six months out and just knowing its there is awfully nice. |

This isn't the case with AC. Drop below SE and you may not be able to get the reward seats you want. Elites only have access to the back cabin through instant KK, and Prestige and Basic don't have access at all. This just isn't the case with the other N American airlines where all members can get the seats they want. I'm sure that there are some SEs who don't care about instant KK. However, given ACs lousy reward seat availability I think it is more important with this airline than with others. |

Well , I just arrived back home well actually at 9:30 PM JST. I had a great time......I was very well taken care of on all my flights , and I intend to make a full report to Anne the concierge about my seatmate......
I would also really like to thank Shannon the "new" In-Charge for having run such a great flight. It is not that often that I see a crew work so flawlessly. A quick note though that 3 of 8 lavatories were in-op on the 13+ hour flight. Special ^ ^ ^ to Parnel, Nordsfan , backseat , acysb87 , yycguy2 ! Pics are on the way........ Also would like to thank Lucie G., George R., for hearing me out! I will be joining Parnels class action law suit against blue 2002 as I had to stand the entire way to Narita due to my back strain from his "hard" landing :p ! |

The soft landing, modified of course, could also be used for lifetime status award for SE's. They could be given instant KK for "X" years after fulfillment of the needed miles or at a certain age and, if they maintain a certain amount of paid segments per year, then dropping down to a minimum of lifetime "E" as their paid segments drop over the years thus losing instant KK when the "bank" of AE of miles is quite a bit lower anyway but maintaining exec check in and lounge access. I think we should vote on that :D AC innovation team.......are you noting this?? |
