Am currently attempting to book ORD-YVR return in February. The flights that I want keep coming up as available but then, when I click on the "Purchase Tickets and Choose Seats" option, it gives me an error message. Hence, I phone technical support - they advise me that this particular message means that one of the flights I want is not available at the booking class I want and that I should choose another booking class.
How ridiculous is this? The website shows the both the outbound ORD-YVR on UA and the return on the redeye through YYZ are available. There's no indication as to which of the flights I have selected is not available since I would much rather tweak my travel itinerary rather than pay a five-fold increase in the fare at a different booking class. However, the only way I know whether my "revised" itinerary is available is if I start playing with various permutations and combinations and doing the booking each time and see if I make it past the final screen.
Has anybody else encountered similar frustrations with the AC website?
Thanks,
DJC
