Well I know E+ on BA is nice, or at least it looks nice, they want they big comfy seats, that recline to 150 degrees |

Right. The answer is easy. You have no status with an airline, you buy the ticket. End of story. No need for four pages on it.
Given full fare J YVR-YYZ is close to this even today $2500-$3000 + taxes, they should be well used to and willing to pay such prices so they themselves can travel "in comfort". |
The parents are simply too nice then - they were willing to pay over $4K for their son to fly YVR/YUL return in J yet they wouldn't want to spend that much money on themselves for a vacation. Something isn't right, can anyone spot it?
