It's nice to see the Argos and the Raptors doing well, especially since our Leafs fix is unavailable for an indeterminate period.
I particularly like what the new Argos owners have done in 12 months. Local owners, without the arrogance of some of the other local sports team owners

Go Raps Go!!!!!!
What an awesome cross-over post. I love the Raptors more than any other pro sports team, even Man United) I spend 50% of my computer time here on Flyer Talk and the other on the Raps discussion at http://hoopsworld.com/board.
All the money I save with AC is spent on Raps tickets
Seriously, they are going to great this year, play fun ball, make a run in the playoffs and bring fans back to the ACC.
No if E and SE could only get a little something something extra at the ACC

I'm a long time Raptors season ticket holder (since the beginning!) and over the years I've gradually parcelled off the tickets so that my wife and I only keep a few games for ourselves and sell the rest. Many others I know have given up their tickets since the management of the Raptors seemed to have forgotten what the team was about - ENTERTAINMENT! This year's team may well fold big time as the season goes along, but if Sam Mitchell keeps them running and gunning, they are at least going to be entertaining and that will draw the fans back. The problem the last 2 seasons was not that they were losing (although T.O. never backs a loser for long - witness the Jays after they sold off the team following the World Series wins) but that they just were not fun to watch. I'll take a 110-105 loss any day to a 82-78 win.

Super Larry -
I didn't mean to to impugn that fine franchise in Montreal. What I was getting at were the other "local" owners of Toronto sports franchises...specifically the Leafs. As others have alluded, that's where the arrogance is (and I say that as a big-time Leafs fan).
Ref Raptors low attendance so far this year...I think the fans are in a "show me" kind of mood. If the Raps have a good road trip on the west coast (for example going 3-3) then I think you will see the fans coming back.
I was a season ticket holder for the 02-03 season but let them lapse, which given the performance last year was a good move on my part. A buddy of mine bought a 20 game pack this year and I took four games of that. My first game is on Nov 21st vs SA, and if they keep playing like they have in the first three games they are going to be fun to watch.
