Hello.

I was wondering if Air Canada ever has any special mileage offers for doubling or tripling airmiles? And if so, does anybody know of any current specials?

Also, are there any good credit card offers right now with an offer for xxxxx amount of miles when you sign on and also a very minimal annual fee?

Destina has a nice special on right now; YVR-HKG (add another $80 for YYZ-HKG). If you do it this month, and pre-register appropriately, will net you:

15,000 Bonus AP miles
~13,000 normal status AP miles
7500 Roundtrip Int'l bonus
500 bonus destina miles
=====
~36000 AP miles ex YVR
~38000 AP miles ex YYZ

Turns out to be roughly 3.6 cents/mile. Not a bad deal for a quick trip to HKG and comparable economics on a per-mile basis as signing up for one of those credit cards.

of all those miles how many are status miles? im trying to reach prestige or elite if I can this year, all i'll be getting miles for is a few YVR - YUL trips in both J and cheap Y fares

YVR-HKG is 6392 status miles each way in economy. 12,784 roundtrip.
