PY Differences between 789 and 77W
Are there any material differences in PY seats/cabin between the 789 and 77W? Booking my niece and her boyfriend TPAC and, depending where they connect, they can take either so I want to put them on the plane with the best PY seats and cabin. I read the threads on the best PY seats in each, but couldn't find one indicating any differences between the two planes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Haven't noticed a difference at all. 99% certain hard product is exactly the same. My wife consistently remarks about feeling better on a 787 than any other plane. Not sure if it's placebo or real but it works for her.

The 787 is pressurized to a lower altitude, and I think higher humidity? It makes sense that the 787 feels better even with the same hard product.

I fling back and forth between Asia and Canada on the 777 and 787 on a regular basis. Give me the Dreamliner any day of the week, I definitely feel more fresh at the end of the flight thanks to the cabin pressure and humidity settings. The Dreamliner cabin has also been measured to be something like 5 dB lower than the 777 so it's less taxing on the ears, too. And of course, the 787 carries fewer passengers so there are fewer chances for something to go wrong.
I don't fly PY on either plane too often, but I do recall being a bit more satisfied with the under-seat space on the 777, especially the middle seats. Hard to quantify exactly but the legroom felt just a bit better somehow.

I've flown PE on all the 777 and 787 models that AC currently flies. Other than the previously mentioned cabin pressurization differences that make 787s more comfortable than 777s, the hard product is virtually the same.

I pay for a window seat to look outside. If you want dark on a day flight, wear a sleeping mask.
If this happens to me, I would quietly and politely take it take it up with the SD. If not allowed take names and dates and escalate up the chain.
