Trying to enroll in Aeroplan: VPN/Proxy issues
I'm trying to sign up for Aeroplan, and am running into some technical issues. I've tried more than 20 times, and each time at the end of the registration process I get this error:
It's not possible for you to enroll in the Aeroplan program at the moment. It appears you are using a Proxy/VPN to change your IP address. Please ensure you have turned off all Proxy/VPN settings to continue.
I've tried on multiple laptops and phones... incognito mode... multiple wifi networks... cellular network.. with different emails. Same result each time.
I really need to get this opened as I want to transfer some Amex MR points!
I know most of you have had accounts for a while, but curious if anyone has any hints or thoughts on how I can get this fixed!

Didnt work for me on various phone/computer/OS/WiFi-Cell/....... or not - combinations. The only wild guess of mine would be: your wifes iphone is wide-open in terms of privacy, and more specifically, location-sharing - as this is the only thing in common with all my numerous attempts. AC DOES try to sniff out way more that it could be logically explained - I gave up, to be honest, although do not doubt that ALL my information was/is recorded into their systems on every attempt

Old account no longer works. But I am "invited" to open a new one. How nice.
Tried creating new account with my original email address. Takes all the account info, and then tells me it's an invalid email address. So I try the whole thing with a new email address.

Sigh. Not using VPN or Proxy. Tried my home network with Chrome and FF, also tried connecting my laptop to my phone hotspot. No ad blocker. Might head down to Starbucks to try again. Is there a way to call them and open the account over the phone?

For anyone running into this, I eventually got the account created by using the Air Canada app (which then uses the phone’s browser).
