Considering AC did the same thing last year, they can hardly be copying something that Spotify sent a couple weeks ago

I too am delighted with the email. It was a fun thing. Sure there are some inaccuracies, but the insight it gave me on how AC clients can be valued by their transaction activity was interesting. I'd not considered how much information was collected by the airline. I am sure at some point we will be able to see how many times we order chicken entrees,

Aeroplan Elite status started in 2020.
Altitude started in 2013.
Aeroplan Top Tier (forgive me if I'm slightly off the name, it's technically before my time) started before that.
And I have no idea if there was anything even earlier.
So... I have no idea what they're trying to say.

Mine says I've been an Aeroplan Elite™ Status Member for 30 years which kind of sounds about right--wasn't a particularly high status member then though. SE was not available until 1998 which I did achieve because of a pilot's strike and 3X SQM for a while to catch up and get over 100K SQM (they weren't called that back then but same idea).
Think I just started as a Silver 25K (whatever they called it) in 1993 and then continued up from there until SE in 1998.

I can glean from my numbers that they don't seem to count AP-issued tickets if you changed your FF# to another program. Not that it matters, but it is curious implementation decision to deflate how much value I get out of AP in a marketing email intended to highlight AP's value.

It's interesting, mine says 4 years of status, but there was a bunch of years before that with a gap year or two so it must only be looking at consecutive years.
I mean it's not perfect but it's neat all the same. I apparently put too much on credit cards.
