Win one of five trip to Paris on AC
Got this email yesterday (refer to thread title). Might have been targeted because friends did not get it. Clicked thru to find the “page has flown” message. Very poor PR and unfortunately typical.

Received the same email. Not sure if it’s targeted or it’s bad IT, as I no longer have AP status and haven’t credited any point to AP for over 5 years.
Sent straight to my trash folder as I have no desire to fly AC long haul.

You can also enter by mailing a fifty (50)-word essay, in English or French, explaining why you would like to win a contest prize package, along with your name, email address and phone number, to the following address:
Air Canada
C/O: Brand – Sponsorships
20 Queen Street West, 4th Floor
Toronto, Ontario, M5H 3R3
Sadly:
In light of the above terms, it'd be tough to comply with this last one:
Posts, written submissions, essays, pictures and/or videos.... must not disparage Contest Organizer or any other person or party

Sadly:
- economy travel only
- Contest is open to all Canadian residents
- The use of upgrade certificates is not permitted for flights
- Approximate value per Prize $14,200.
In light of the above terms, it'd be tough to comply with this last one:

Well, to be fair, that value is not just the flight. It includes flights from and back to the winner's home city, four nights hotel stay (meals not included), VIP tickets to the Cirque du Soleil, a tour of the Cirque's headquarters, etc. That must be all be worth a couple of thousand right there.

2x tickets from closest major airport to YUL ($2147)
1 night in Marriott Montréal Airport Hotel ($340)
Tour of CDS HQ
2x tickets YUL-CDG ($3767)
3 nights at a 4star in Paris
2x VIP Tickets (~$500 each based on other ticket prices)
2x tickets CDG-closest major airport to your home ($5264)
Ground transportation.
I didn't bother guessing the costs for things they didn't give dates for. Based the flight prices on YVR departure.
Total for everything minus ground transport, 3 nights in Paris and the HQ tour is $12,518, but that's based off latitude fares lol. I guess if you calculate it that way you can get close to 14.2k

Update — my earlier attempts were from an iPad (chrome browser). Still no success. Tried from my laptop, (Chrome browser) and it worked.
