compensation for equipment swap?
Has anyone successfully claimed compensation for losing their lay-flat business seat? I booked YVR to YYZ in J and specifically selected a flight with the 787-9. A few days prior to departure I got notification that the plane was changed to a A321-200. A321 business class is hardly worth it, would have flown economy.

The tariff used to specify that a partial refund was owed if you had paid a premium for a widebody (the old "Business Class - Continental" $300 surcharge). That's no longer in the tariff, but I believe is contained within the fare rules for certain fares where it's built in to the price.
Has this flight already been flown?
