Format for offers:
  • Flight | Origin-Destination | Date | Username | Additional info (if any)
So that might lead to something like this:
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian
Or, if there are certain restrictions, you may do something like this:
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian | upgrade to PY only
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian | Flex or Latitude fares only
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian | up to 18 credits, no add-on fees

Format for requests:
  • Flight | Origin-Destination | Date | Username | Type (Points or Cash), Fare Brand & Class
Examples:
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian | cash Flex H
  • AC 854 | YYZ-LHR | June 13 | TheCanuckian | points Latitude K

For any upgrades with an add-on (co-pay), the recipient must pay the fee

No restrictions?
Thanks EmailKid. Appreciate your help on the matter. I'm just working on the assumption of the below, but it may be worth to make it explicit: any fare without an add-on or you pay the fee

And if you don't want to deal with that hassle, just specify in your offer no fares with co-pay (already in one of the examples)

Default restriction is benefactor pays any necessary add-on, which is the only common restriction.

I think you mean that the benefactor provides the e-ups, but the recipient pays any necessary add-on dollars.

Sigh. Yes. I need to stop trying to answer questions when I'm at Smugglers.

I think this is a great initiative for December. I'm curious if any of the offers have been taken up.

The odds of another FTer on the same flight are probably quite low

You'd be surprised how often it can happen

I'm on 345 tonight - the J cabin looks like it'll fill, but the PE cabin looks to have quite a bit of space.

Happy to eUp a fellow passenger, any fees are your responsibility. PM me here, or look for the bald, beareded guy in the lounge.

I've seen you, and you don't look like a bear. Just sayin'.

I am reliably informed that this statement really depends upon which definition you’re using.

…but we digress.

First time doing this! Please let me know if I'm missing anything.

AC 1198 | YYZ-MIA | Dec 22 | no add-on fees

Cabin is J9

Question - On a offer to upgrade, I'm assuming the fellow passengers fare bucket and status would come into play on the e-upgrade list? Would any of my information (fare bucket/status) factor into the equation?

eUpgrade Giveaway

This kind of giveaway doesn't have its own thread because it's a weird one.

I have 67 eUps expiring at the end of the year, and apparently only 50 of them will roll over with the Black CC. So, I have 17 to give away.

"But you can't give away eUps". Well, I also never used my eUp nominee benefit. So, I can designate someone as my nominee for the rest of the year and use my eUps for them.

What I don't know is if it's handled the same way as the status pass (trip needs to start this year) or whether the upgraded travel needs to be complete this year.

Requirements:
  • No more than 17 credits to eUp your ticket (check this PDF; if the box is blue, don't worry about the cash co-pay, I won't have to pay it)
  • Traveling in 2022
  • Flex fare or higher (so there's no co-pay for me)
  • Aeroplan reward flights are fine, as long as Flex or better
  • Instant upgrade space is available (we're within my clearance window for all fares up until the end of the year for North America / Sun, or Dec. 28 for international)
  • Long-haul (signature class with pods) preferred

If interested, PM me your full name, Aeroplan number, and the booking PNR (Aeroplan is needed for the eUp nominee). Please check if upgrade space is available before PMing me.

This thread seems to be all about upgrading people on the same flight though. I'm proposing a nomination.

I gave away my nominee slot in this thread; @canadiancow did the same.

Nice of you all! I have 36 expiring, but I'm trying to upgrade 2 others on my Dec. 25th flight. Sorry!
Happy Holidays, FTers.
