Acceptable forms of ID after moving provinces (temp driver's license)?
So a friend has a flight booked with AC tomorrow morning ex BC. They moved to BC earlier this year and have a birth certificate and a temporary driver's license but neither are photo ID (their new BC DL is in the mail, should have arrived by now). What are the chances they are allowed to board?
Thanks in advance.

WJ allowed it while AC didn't in that same case, which can cause confusion. I'd be a little concerned and would give AC a call to check just in case. Agent might deny boarding even though it technically might be okay like in the article.

Does your friend have any of the other non-photo ID alternatives outlined below? Health Card?

You can travel with 2 non-photo ID providing they're government issued.

OP, this may sound silly because you may already have considered these, but sometimes we forget the blindingly obvious, and you didn't mention them... Does your friend have a passport or NEXUS card? Those would be the easiest solutions.

I have a friend who was allowed to board a few years ago using a Costco card. I have another friend who was denied boarding last year because his DL had expired two days earlier.
It's a crap shoot, IMO. Passport or Nexus is your best bet.
