Queue?? Never seen one in Halifax, especially on a Sunday.

Given the departure times Sunday Aft we will likely have some form of brunch on Sunday morning. Maybe some cod tongues and cheeks at the Nfld restaurant......

I did not know that 7:00 came in an A.M. variety on weekends. I've learned something.

Okay but seriously, folks... ten taxis to the airport, or one limo bus and a case of Gatorade?

@Yhztraveller, I'll try to finalize my plans in the next couple of days. I'm not too far from you right now, in PWM. I expect to attend the Do on Saturday night, but not partake in the Saturday activities (not that they shouldn't be fun, just that I've done them before).

Right now I'm thinking of flying in from YYZ Friday night, spending the night at the airport, doing a YQX or YDF turn on Saturday, doing a YQY turn Sunday, and take the non-stop YHZ-YYC on Sunday.

One of YDF or YQX was only 11.2K Aeroplan round trip on Saturday. If someone wanted to fly with me, I might even spot them a ticket

@SKYEG, I owe you a PM.

Ahhh, Portland! I used to take hockey teams and stay at the Merry Manor Inn. Year-round outdoor pool and close to the outlets! The Mom's loved it!

Be careful about going to YDF or YQX this time of year!! I would suggest packing like you will get stuck there for a week, just in case it snows!!

I've removed both the calf and the bovine from the waitlist. One has a conflict, the other is uninterested in the time/cost commitment.

What's the risk of getting stuck there doing an immediate turn though? Surely if it's that bad, the flight would never leave YHZ, or would turn back without landing?

Or maybe I should just stay overnight in YYZ and do YYZ-YQM-YYZ-YHZ or something like that on Saturday?

There is no risk of getting stuck this time of year, but November on the other hand… well that’s a whole different story.

Yeah I've certainly never walked through a snow storm on the tarmac at YYT in May

No idea how long it takes to get the emailed response, but they do mention it takes up to 3 days for fish farmers. Also unclear if the day of entry is specific, ie if it's a problem if you thought you were arriving Friday, but show up Wednesday or Saturday instead.
I just filled this out. I got an web page saying "You’re conditionally approved to arrive on 21 October 2021 and will be staying at Hollis Hotel, 1649 Hollis St. Halifax Halifax". The web page name (which is awkward to see) says "Your request to enter Nova Scotia is under review". The email arrived within seconds of filling out the forms. Under next steps, apart from being able to prove vaccination, it recommends getting a COVID test on arrival. It doesn't seem to require it at the moment now.
