Bicycle fees - how much?
Hello, a friend (no status) wants to fly (Economy Standard) from Canada to Europe (BRU), bringing additional baggage AND a bicycle. I am trying to work out the baggage fees. But the wording at
https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/bagg age/special-items.html
is confusing.
First it says "Each bicycle counts as one piece of baggage towards the maximum number of checked bags allowed by your fare type." But then it says "Bicycles are subject to a fee of $50.00 [...] No other baggage fees apply to bicycles."
What does that mean?
First bag is free. Second bag is CAD 100+tax. If she adds a bicycle to that, does that cost another $50+tx? Or $225+$50+tax? Or something else?
