Tango fare eupgrade? YYZ to PEK

Hey everyone,

I took a look possibly solving this issue through other conversations, but could not find a solution --if I've overlooked something, let me know.

I am playing with the idea of heading to Beijing on a mileage run. I've never done one... so, I have a few questions:

1) Does an SE100 still get the additional 100% of the miles they fly even though they purchase a basic economy ticket that will give you up to 50% of the miles you fly?

2) Can you eupgrade from a basic economy ticket into business class?

3) If you eupgrade into business class on an AC flight from YYZ to PEK, and the route takes you through YVR, and you have to change to an Air China flight for YVR to PEK -- Do you remain in business class for the second leg of the trip? Would another carrier accept Eups? Would you have to pay more to Air China for a business class seat?

Thank you in advance.

1) No.

2) The eUp costs are on the AC website if you google them.

3) eUps are only good on Air Canada metal.

2) no eupgrade on basic economy fare.

https://www.aircanada.com/us/en/aco/...omy-basic.html

Air Canada AltitudeTM members will continue to enjoy their privileges, based on their Altitude status, when travelling on an Economy Basic fare. eUpgrades will not be permitted on this fare.
