Amazing Aeroplan success to Melbourne - all J class
After months of only Air China, or mixed-class bookings, today I managed to get AC's non-stop AC YVR-MEL on the 789, then return on Singapore's A380 to SIN, 787-10 to Taiwan, and then AC's 789 back to Vancouver. This will be my first time on a 380 and a 787-10, and on Singapore Airlines.

Ooooh congratulations! I "get" how exciting it is to finally get a preferred itin after looking for months!
Curious to know - how bad were the scam charges?

Aeroplan even gave me the SQ booking reference and I went to the SQ website and chose my seats. They even sent me a message saying I could choose my meal online 4 months before the flight. The flights all show “confirmed”.
But, I’m not going to get too excited about flying in J on the 380 and 78X yet. Neither aircraft is currently operating the flights I’m on, and things can change.
I guess the good news is that SQ will have sold all their 330s to Air Canada by then.

There are some pro Aeroplan searchers on here that tell me that searching, for elusive SQ or LH F or other, requires daily effort at the very least, but how far in advance is YMMV. Quite often people here truly luck out after minimum effort.
