She's an idiot who I would rather not spend time and money prosecuting. Give her a plea deal that deports her and bans her from the US or overflying the US for 5 years with no fines or jail time. No need to spend more resources on her.

Life? That sounds a bit extreme. How about 100 years...
But seriously, I remember seeing signs in the 90's about not joking about bombs in an airport. You'd think that people would have some sort of clue. But instead I find myself saying more and more often, "People are stupid."

I am a big fan of Darwinism and enjoy the simple things in life like making fun of stupid people and snowflakes. Making bomb threats at airports is like throwing a patio chair off a high rise in downtown Toronto towards a busy highway. Stupid, dangerous and just plan dumb! But these people are part of our society and they walk among us......and they breed!

I agree with this assessment and want to add, some people just shouldn't be allowed to travel (or arguably leave their homes).
I know a lovely old lady who is more than a little ditzy. This lovely lady traveled with a group of our friends a couple of years ago - her first time on a plane in 30 years. Standing at the gate looking out the windows, she told her friends sitting several feet away, in all seriousness, "I wonder if there are any bombs on those planes." Thankfully our friends were the only ones who heard her, otherwise I'm sure there would've been as much of a fuss as the lady in the OP caused, and deservedly so.
To add she also managed to accidentally exit security while wandering around the airport on her connection and couldn't understand why she couldn't just go back the way she came instead of reclearing security. She just didn't see what the big deal was.
Sweetest lady in the world but I don't want to be around her in an airport.
