Possible Air Canada CSeries routes (A220)
https://www.flightglobal.com/news/ar...routes-455010/
main thought is much longer routes then i would have expected for these but the A220 did just get 180min ETOPS for London to NYC Flights so many seem to plan on using the range fully

AC has tried to get a DCA perimeter exemption to do DCA-YVR on an A319 in the past but was denied. Looks like they're looking at IAD for these routes this time. I feel like there's a potential market to YVR + TPAC connections. YYC also shows up as a potential route.

Interesting that YOW-YYZ is not shown (but YVR-YEG as an example). Expectation in YOW is that those would replace the E90s on a few routes, potentially including YOW-YYC and YOW-YEG. As the E90 is currently the mainstay on YOW-YYZ, it will be interesting to see whether AC upgages to A319/A320/7M8 on that route (with reduced frequencies), or downgages to CRA/E75 with increased frequencies or a mix of both. Competition on YOW-YYZ/YTZ is mainly Q400 with the very occasional WS737, so the 75-seat aircraft scenario is a unfortunately a possibility...

It seems likely that the economic benefits of the CSeries/220 occur mainly at longer ranges. Especially compared with the E75 and E90. So it would seem to make sense to schedule them on longer reasonably thin routes like YOW-YYC/YVR. Perhaps also some YUL-YYC/YEG/YVR flights. While keeping a mix of 319/320/E75 for the short eastern triangle routes. And of course the E90 out.

They'll get rid of them somehow, but it may be selling them cheap for parts.
