Everyone west of Thunder Bay just got screwed royally. Wow. Such drama.

I just received an e-mail about this from TD Canada Trust - Basically a plea to keep my credit card even though they have no idea what the next step is.

West of Thunder Bay.... YYZ....you can't even get to FLL on Porter.

This reminds me of the monopoly card, winning second price in a beauty contest. Basically useless.

I mean, if the board is happy, more power to them. I keep my AE points at a minimum and my Amex MR points at a max. I cannot see that changing anytime soon.

Not just people on the west coast. Not great for those of us near YYZ either. I'd never fly with them. How many FT'ers waste their miles for economy tickets? So even if PD was convenient, who here would fly with them, when all they have are all-Y class turboprops? Also, YTZ isn't really convenient for anyone who doesn't live right in Toronto. Parking there sucks and is expensive, so unless you travel very light and can take transit, YTZ is horrible.

Any Porter flight I have ever taken has been delayed, sometimes for hours. They don't have capacity if something goes off.

I guess one way to get rid $2billion in points liability is to partner with an airline where that many points can virtually never be spent!

To be fair. Porter is the first airline they've signed a formal deal with. I'm sure WestJet won't be far behind along with others.

You may not be able to fly to FLL but you can get to Myrtle Beach, and Orlando

With Porter's small area perhaps it will cost 75k to get from YYZ to YHZ?

Then again they are in talks w OneWorld etc etc....
