Question: Which seat am I getting on Ac128 Sat., 4Aug red eye YVR YYZ?

Which seat am I getting on Ac128 Sat., 4Aug red eye YVR YYZ?
Ac128 tomorrow red eye yvr yyz.
Booked in row 30 (preferred seat at cost)
on AC seat selection it shows no seat ahead of this / and exit row.
All other seat sites show it as being a normal seat, and 29 being the preferred row. Im confused.
Its a321-200 (454). I cant see the floorplan anymore on ac app after checking in.
Hope its really a preferred seat

What was your original equipment on your first ticket receipt? It's usually quite consistent on that flight (321)...
Are you sure you didn't pay for a regular seat selection?
Only plane with a row 30 showing as preferred is the 777 (77L and one config of 773) and it's only the middle section.
Unfortunately, preferred seats are never guaranteed. The best you can hope is that one seat get freed by then. I would check regularly. Otherwise, you can get a refund.

It was a standard fare so I paid 60somethjng dollars for that seat.
on the seat map I was able to select from on during purchase of ticket, it shows no seat ahead of 30A.
The row behind this was a normal row
not sure how this happened, i would like a refund for the seat charge if it isnt as advertised.
Sigh. Need to take screen shots of every part of the process
to boot- for this flight I attempted to purchase a ticket, clicked "i accept, purchase" and the transaction failed. It asked me to call AC.
There was an error message that "flight class undefined".
Then when I redid the same fare/itinerary, the fare jumped up 200$. I paid and called them stating that is weird behavior ( The website usually asks if you need more time, before timing out. Otherwise the price displayed should be the price offered )
ac agent told me I would get a call back with an explanation- never happened.

When you pay for a seat (at least a preferred one) you get an email. At the bottom is gives your name, the flights, the seat and will say something like 31J - Preferred Seat (Middle) and then a price, like 50.00.

So perhaps it depends at the time of booking as well and changes were made afterward. Not sure when the OP booked the flight in question though.

Yes my ticket confirmation states that I'm in a preferred seat 30a. I spoke with AC, they claim it is the preferred seat which is discrepant with seatguru I guess I'll find out. It did cost $60, versus regular seat selection which was 20 or less.

Man this has been the oddest booking.
My BP states 30A.
As per that seat map, 30A should be priority and looks great, don't know why it still shows available.

If it looks terrible, try to snap a photo. But fingers crossed. FWIW AC was good (no back and forth! albeit not that fast at refunding my seat when it wasn’t preferred.

Are you Zone 3? That seat won’t be in Zone 3 area but preferred seats should get Zone 3, hence my question.
If it looks terrible, try to snap a photo. But fingers crossed. FWIW AC was good (no back and forth! albeit not that fast at refunding my seat when it wasn’t preferred.
