Earning with United....Basic Economy T

Hi,

Apologies if this is already posted (sure it is however can not find it), I have some segments coming up on united booked as Basic Economy "T", on aeroplan site it says Basic Economy N will not earn AQS/AQM can someone clarify if Basic Economy "T" will earn AQS ?

Thanks

UA Basic Economy and AC Economy Basic earn no AQM and AQS regardless of fare class. AC fare class is, for non full Economy, pretty meaningless these days due to “branded fares”.

Actually now that I look "T" does not book under basic economy only "N" does, so going to assume I am ok.

AC Standard formally known as Tango accrues 25% domestic AQM and 50% AQM TB/Intl, and AQS as normal. AC Basic does not.

If you aren’t sure whether you are Basic or Standard, without seeing your booking it’s hard to be sure. AC customer service should be able to confirm however.

Edit - “Select Intl” Basic routes earn 25% AQM.

I am booked on a united ticket, T fare other route is L fare so based on the only basic economy fares being N I assume I should earn AQS on aeroplan.

For Altitude:
UA S, T, L, K, G 50% min125 miles
Crediting to UA you would get 100% pqm,

Economy Basic (M,U,H,Q,V,W,G,S,T,L,A,K,F) and Economy Standard (M,U,H,Q,V,W,G,S,T,L,A,K,F).

Above is from EYW rules if anyone wonders. The point is, fare code means virtually nothing unless it’s YB (Lat) or JCDZP. And for reference PY codes are OEN.

I get that for Air Canada, however for United I only see N as a Basic Economy fare.

If you question is about United regardless of what the AP site says I query if this is the best forum

So not sure, because according to the UA website you have booked a ticket that doesn't exist from what I can see:
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...are-class.html

United T will earn 50% miles on AE.

United T is not basic economy (as I think the OP figured out now). However, *United* basic economy also earns 50% on AE (however, they are NOT status miles).

Although it is not relevant to this question - Air Canada basic economy earns 0% miles, 0 segments, and 0 AQD (except for some international routes) on AE ... what it earns on United MP will differ.

Hopefully this helps.
