My work-related trips are all in NA. I use the computers in MLLs to check my work and other e-mail obsessively. I often use my laptop on flights and am always cautious about passengers in front of me moving their seats. This happens with regular occurrence on the commuter bus (GO Transit)I use so I'm pretty fast at rescuing the computer from the impending disaster of a reclining seat.
On pleasure trips (all to MEL the last few years) I totally relax from the time I arrive at the airport. I love airports and MLLs in particular. (If I have time, I like checking out all the *Alliance lounges when in a new airport.) I love flying and enjoy every lousy movie, every overly-salty snack and undentifiable meal. I love talking to the FAs, looking out the window, watching the map, the whole deal. It is a welcome break from the hectic world.

Flying for me is a special time. I usually pick the G&M and the National Post in the MLL and proceed to read to my heart's content while listening to channel 5 on the entertainment system.
On international flights, I enjoy the movies and catch up as I never patronize the cinemas. On UA, I listen to channel 9 and watch the airshow to track the flight.
Occasionaly, I would work if I had to hit the ground running for a meeting or a presentation. However, I try not to schedule work as I find it difficult to work on an aircraft.
Now that I am retired... I relax and smile as all those type A personnalities work their way across Canada or over the pond.
There is freedom 55+ !!!!! and there is life beyond the offfice.
