The Ebb and Flow of AC 33 YVR - SYD

I am going to be on AC 33 (YVR - SYD) next week. I've done the flight before, but don't remember much about it. I'm hoping someone has taken it more recently and can answer these questions.

After takeoff, do they serve a meal? And then (roughly) when do they shut down the cabin to let people sleep? And how soon before landing do they light it up again? Do they serve 3 meals or 2?

I guess, in short, I'm looking for a sense of the ebb and flow of it. I have a busy day after landing and am trying to plot out when I'll sleep, how much I'll actually get, and so on. If you've got a rough idea of how the flight is scheduled out by the flight attendants, that would be helpful.

if you are in economy, the flight is high density horrible experience, and you should shoot yourself now for booking AC.
If its Business class and you got a crazy deal, then the experience will be wonderful! hehehehe!

I have the same question too (also in J).

I saw an old post that said you were served the big meal soon after take off and then a small meal before landing, but would like to confirm as well.

I flew this in J last summer. My recollection is that they served one meal after takeoff then pretty much shut things down (so ~2h in to the flight) and then served another an hour or so before landing preparations. I don't think there was anything but snack baskets in between, unless they served something while I was sleeping.

I did BNE a couple months ago.
As the menu says, the first few courses are served all at once.
Dessert is trolley service.
Should be finished about 90 minutes after takeoff.

I can't remember if breakfast started 90 or 120 minutes before landing.
Either way, it's to early.

Only the two meals are served. 12 hours of help yourself snack service in the middle.

It's a long flight and I will be starting my vacation, so I won't be in any rush.

From YYZ this is great in J. Stay awake to YVR, get to the MLL, have a few, then sleep on the SYD segment arriving next day in the morning. Ive gone to SYD for just one night many times like this, often returning with the same crew.
