SQ N class accumulation

Hi
I just booked a ticket from SIN-BOM on SQ.
The ticket was issued online as a N class.

I cant see what this gets on Aeroplan. There is no mention of N class. I am worried as I need these points to re-qualify for my Super Elite 100k

Thanks

I'll be interested in the answer

Aeroplan website states 'Booking classes not listed in the chart below are not eligible for accumulation'

i was reluctant to book SFO-HKG recently because of the N fare was all my company would book.

I bent over backwards to avoid N class on a long segment because of that. I think the website is the only thing you can go on. If within 24 hours, and I needed the AQM to qualify, I'd rebook in a tabulated class, if it were me.

SQ N class is not eligible for mileage accumulation with Altitude/Aeroplan.

Correct.

I remember that in SQ's Krisflyer FFP, one segment in N class lead to all other segments in (higher) Economy classes becoming ineligible for mileage accumulation as well. These days it earns 50% there but 0% in Aeroplan as YYT82 pointed out.

SQ N appears to earn miles with almost nobody.

I am based out of SIN and I often fly other airlines because of SQ because of
1) no mileage accumulation unless I pay through the nose
2) I can often get business for the accumulation classes on SQ
3) other *A carriers are often cheaper (to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Thailand). For other nearby destinations I often take a discount airline since it's a fraction of the price. I often wonder who actually flies SQ? It must be mostly other people's money.

I fly SQ from time to time. I fly one of the 100% (or more) miles-earning fare classes. I fly their fifth freedom routes. That's how I do it.

Hard to fly the fifth freedom routes when one end is usually SIN

Just booked YVR-ICN-SIN-TPE-YVR

YVR-ICN (AC) P
ICN-SIN (SQ) D
SIN-TPE (SQ) N
TPE-YVR (AC) N

AC.com always mentions if it is mixed classes when you book online, at least from my experience. I picked the SIN-TPE because it was one of the few that was NOT listed as mixed classes.

Just got my itinerary and I see I am booked in ECONOMY (N) for SIN-TPE. That is not going to fly.

Can someone with SQ experience please confirm for me that this is in fact back of the bus and does not have accumulation?

Any speculation on why AC.com is misleading on this fare?

N is one of SQ's lowest Economy fare classes.

My guess is since you booked PY for the return, AC.com saw N class (which is an AC PY fare) and therefore didn't consider it to be mixed class.

SQ N puts you at the back of the bus, and does not accumulate to Aeroplan. You can, however, sign up for KrisFlyer and accumulate it at 50%, which gives you 1011 miles between SIN and TPE.

Forget that. I'll re-book through PEK on P class for the same price.

Strange that AC.com didn't list it as mixed classes.

EDIT: I lied. It was $17 more for the PEK routing. Tough call...
