Best aircraft for transatlantic flight YYZ or YUL to FCO June 2018
We will be traveling from YYZ or YUL to FCO next June. Which aircraft will offer the best transatlantic experience in Economy and PE :Airbus A300 or Boeing 777-300 ? Our tennagers (very tall) will be in Economy and us hopefully in PE (!)
Thanks in advance !

A333 Y or 763 Y are superior to the newer 787 and 777 aircraft. I especially like the 2-4-2 and 2-3-2 configurations if your travelling with a companion.
If your travelling in PY, I have not flown the 333 in PY, only the 77W which has a decent PY product (not as good as the 787). I like row 14 in PY

In the forward A333 Y cabin, seats DEFG used to have 33" pitch, so nice legroom - for AC Y. When PE was added to the config things were changed around. The reports vary as to whether these seats still have really good legroom. Many people here wouldn't be caught dead in longhaul Y, so I haven't seen a definitive answer.

I agree with most people here. PY is the best on the 787 and 777. It is quite tolerable on the 333 also but the seats are equipped with the previous generation IFE and didn't feel as comfortable as the 787/777 seats. In Y, 333 wins hands down in terms of seat comfort, pitch and width.
I would probably book the most convenient schedule and, if you can afford it, pay for pay for preferred seats in the emergency exit rows for your teenagers in you end up on the 777.

I have not flown PY on the 333 so I can't speak to it. It's nice on the 777/787 though.
In Y, the A333 beats everything else in the fleet hands-down. They have more overhead bin space than a 763 and are much more comfortable than either the 777/787.
So the question is, how much do you like your kids?
