AQD/AQM ratio

Just booked my last trip for this year. Taking me over the SE requirement in Dec.

My expected AQD/AQM ratio sits at 0.2001.

I have a discount code. Did not use it this time since the AQD would have been a bit tight. (Some bokings are passes, which may be a tad unpredictable...)

Nicely done, but how many of your flights earn AQD? My ratio is similar, even a bit lower, but with many thousands of dollars spent on UA with 0 AQD.

Also, one could argue that you could have gotten to SE by flying 200K AQM @ 0.1 AQD/AQM

I'll be pretty close to that after my trip in November that takes me to SE100K.

102k AQM, a little over $20k AQD.

I am closer. About 100600. There was a year when I renewed SE with 100,048.

I should probably have mentioned that I have not been in Y at all this year, and whenever depending upon an upgrade, I got the upgrade confirmed at time of reservation.

I think I'm going to finish the year under 0.06.

OK, first, you are not in Canada. So 0.1 would do I guess.

But it's even less. So either you won't renew SE status, or the miles will be around 170k?

My guess is the latter. Remember, it's EYW time

As far as I know, there's no cpm requirement for any status level.

Obviously. But there is an optimal combination. Which would seem to be barely hitting both limits, no?

Well, that assumes you don't actually need to fly 100k AQM.

I'd say the optimal combination is paying the least amount possible for the flights you take.

So I think minimizing cpm is optimal, but flying 200k AQM is not an issue.

At 99k AQM and 30k spend. Add 25% to both before year is over

Not necessarily.

If one were to fly 100k AQM on AC metal for 20k AQD, and then 300k AQM on UA metal for 0 AQD, they would have $0.05 per AQM.

But they'd be a fairly similar customer for AC as one who does the same thing without the UA flying.

The "less than optimal" is when you keep buying AC P fares at 6cpm
