Major YUL announcement

press release just put out for a major YUL announcement tomorrow. Relates to new service. Could this finally be BEY?

Doubtful. BEY was rejected again by the federal government only a few months ago. Same reason. I know AC was looking seriously at Tehran, but that would be a long shot for the same reason.

Quite impossible from Montreal, and if a SIN route is ever started in YUL, it would go through YVR and the press conference would be there.

I wonder about French speaking Africa. Abidjan? Or more China on AC metal.

A route to the Gulf under current political conditions would seem unlikely.

AC wouldn't be calling a press conference hosted by Calin for something as small as that.

No, there is some unique aspect to this announcement that merits the full press treatment.

Wonder if it's C-Series related? Announcing initial (new?) markets for the shiny BBD jet? Too soon perhaps?
With the Big Wheel in attendance, has to be significant. Tokyo? Africa? JNB would have to be exYYZ, right?

I'm sure it will involve Rouge somehow. Maybe they are converting YUL-YYZ to Rouge!

I'd like MRU! But that's dreaming for me....

LCY with the C-series? I don't think LCY-YYZ is possible.
JNB would most likely be YYZ
ALG is already served by another airline... but maybe there is enough traffic for two?

It's way too early for AC to be announcing C-Series routes. First delivery is late 2019. 737 MAX 8 however...

I'd like a Japan flight, but then I'd prefer to fly JAL/ANA/Korean/Asiana for such destination

Hmmm, you're right, but I also doubt the 737 MAX can do LCY-YUL
