My toddler and I are doing some TPAC trips in PY (she's too little to solo a J pod).

I can see that on the 788/9, that in PY rows 12-14, all of the DEG middle seats have an immovable arm-rest. So we'll take the AC or HK combos for those flights.

Does anyone know if on a 77W, if PY rows 13-14 have any arm rests that can be raised in the DEFG middle section? I'm trying to see if I can get a pair where she can sleep across the two seats. Row 12 has IFE in the arm-rests.
I flew the 77 from YYZ-YVR in PE two days back. None of the armrests can be raised anywhere in PE. They are like single aisle J seats.
This is the same for 788/789 too.
Above is based on my experience, not sure if there are fins that are different but perhaps others can chime in.

Smile 787-8 International Biz Class Seats

On a 787-8 International Biz class flight from YVR to EWR can anyone tell me if a couple can talk to/see each other if located in the 2 middle pod seats or would it be better to seat across the aisle from each other
Thanks

i think there are lots of discussion at the following thread:

The Air Canada 787-8/-9 Dreamliner Discussion Thread

Personally, depending how much talking you need, I like front and back myself. Male in front so, he can turn around and on his knee to have a quick conversation if he wants. For the Female in the back, she can just pad on your seat head rest area (or shake it ) to get the Male attn.

No and it depends and the aisle to aisle seats are not aligned.

In my experience, the middles are better for this.

I agree, but many here like to stand up and yelp at the significant other behind them, or have the significant other behind them yelp in front while the other person in front cocks their head in an awkward angle.

I still think middle is the best for couples.

I often notice couples sitting in the middle next to each other don't raise their voice like the ones who sit one behind the other.

This is a matter of semantics, but an important one at that...

You won't be getting "international" service as this is a transborder transcon flight. You will be getting standard transcon J service.

For the 789 seat 5K, as reported widely here, there is only one window.

Thanks. I suppose my requirements have little to do with the window. Looking for privacy, quiet away from lav and galley as the main things.

AC 787 J cabin?

for all the frequent travellers on AC 787 in J - which seat would you pick? 1A/1k or something else?

2A or 2K. A bit further from the galley.

What are you looking for? View out of window, privacy, being served first, or something else?

Pretty much all that. It’s only one cabin. Service front to back. 1 A/k is a bit louder / brighter. All window pods are private. Some like the back, not me.

Frankly, all pods are great.
