Hi guys,

how are AC 763s that fly LAX-YYZ?

Is there IFE?

I fly in Y.

Thanks

There will be seat back TVs with various options for movies and tv shows. Depending on the aircraft it may also have wifi.

The Y seats (2-3-2 config) are perfectly fine on the 763.

There will be IFE at all seats. Just bring your own headphones since AC charges ~$3 per set on NA flights.

There is IFE. But keep in mind that since 767s are very old, some or all features of the IFE may not work properly.

Bring a decent seat of earphones. Preferably NC headphones. I take a seat of cheap ($15) earphones which are about 10 times better than the AC ones for TTL.

If IFE is dead and you can, move seat. Otherwise flag a FA down to restart it. You may have to ask several times and wait but I've nearly always gotten IFE working, or at least playing something. Not always what I wanted, nor with working controls but jabbing the screen eventually works. Normally.

It tends to be a quick flight anyway. I will still book a preferred seat that said, or at least something C (ie left hand aisle).

I have had more problems on the E90's and 777's than the 767's.

Aircraft are equipped with Thales Early Generation AVOD. Many of the early bugs were fixed, but bear in mind that the system is Circa 2006. Rouge Aircraft have WiFi progressively being installed, but the Mainline 76's are dwindling in number.

It's the aircraft that I fly most often although I'm transitioning to 787's, and dispatch reliability has been pretty decent.

Do the domestic 763s age a special config?
I will fly LAX-YYZ, and I noticed that the config in C was 2-3-2 (and it is not a Rouge flight)

Yeah, mainline 763 J would be 1-1-1.
