Do a YYZ-HNL on UA. Often in the low $500s each way. Lieflat on many of the long segments from EWR IAD MDW and DEN Same day turns too. Should net you ~7500 AQM each direction.
When did UA start flying from MDW?

YYC to SIN on UA for $618 CAD roundtrip in K. Should I do that just to get the 4000? Or what do you guys suggest?
Not worth it, IMHO.

Now if you were going for E50K under the same criteria, I'd call you crazy for not going for it.

Yeah, the 2nd airport is MDW.

Revisiting this thread.

I am one of the handful who managed to snag the cheap ANA biz fare YVR-SYD for Dec. Calculation says I should earn about 25868 miles. Add that to my upcoming biz fare BKK, I'm getting 43625 miles total. Again, should I try to gun for 7000 miles to get E50 status before end of 2017?

Well...

Some AC status is somewhat useful if you are flying a lot, although that mostly only kicks in with E35 or E50. It is some small amount of time and comfort back in exchange for spending a lot of time in a metal tube in the air.

If you are flying once twice a year Altitude status is mostly useless. Pay the fee for a CC with travel benefits and/or buy a lounge pass & PE / preferred seating and get the same benefits for a lot less money than your mileage run. Never mind the cost of your time to do the run.
Same answer as before. If you are going to fly a lot in 2018 yes, if you are going to fly twice then not even remotely close.

E50 will get you into the United Club lounges. E50 is especially worth it if you fly a lot of international

OP - you're wasting your $618. Save your money, unless you plan to fly a lot more next year it's not even close to worth it.
