Air Canada Announces Departure of Klaus Goersch

MONTREAL, April 3, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Klaus Goersch, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Air Canada has resigned effective April 30, 2017. He will continue to lead Air Canada's operations until his departure. The Corporation will announce his successor in due course.

IIRC Klaus Goersch is an airline rated commercial pilot as well as COO.

Started at LH. At AirTran for a while. (I don't recall their older names which they abandoned after the crash associated with oxygn tanks being ferried or something like that.)

Isn't he the guy that was generally credited for significantly improving OTP a few years ago? With the general disaster OTP has been lately, this is not good for AC.

Could be. He is also the guy who was a communication disaster after the Halifax crash.
