MLL computer etiquette

I have finally got to a computer in the MLL YYZ after waiting quite a while.

The problem is that some people occupy the locations of the computers to do other things, like use their own laptops or talk on the phone. This is a strict no-no and as I sit here there are 2 terminals inaccessible now due to such inconsiderate people.

I was about to ask one of the AC staff to speak to these individuals as I do not wish to get into a disagreement with them, when one just came available. Is this the right thing to do?

Agree 100% although I usually very politely inquire if they plan to use the terminal staring at them in the face and if not could they please relocate. This even happened in the Concorde room at LHR.

What do you think about removing the phones and phone jacks at the internet stations?

Its like this at a lot of public places. Even when I am at the library looking for the latest plane/car magazine I check my email there even though I have a good comp at home. Terminals @ MLLs and for example librarys are for work/email/research, not for playing games or chatting with your friends.

One thing that bugs me the most is onboard - those who take their laptop out as soon as the plane is over 100 ft off the ground. Then when the FA comes around to set up their table for meal service, they just wouldn't cease and make the FA work around them. A lot of times it just ends with the pax spilling the wine all over the place. Best of all - they are playing games on their computer.

Where do the put/plug the laptops in? If I bring my laptop I usally just use it to dock pics I take from the plane etc. Maybe some review of itinerary.

I agree with Ken also but fear these are the same people who would whip out there cell phones and talk even louder than normal.
