This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition , and 2016 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. More Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs or should be posted elsewhere on FT as should topics better suited to other forums such as Travel Products for questions about luggage or Travel Photography for discussion about cameras.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply her as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

Umm, that's not cheap. More than two in the same year is rare for me. When the kids were younger I'd go to one every 2-3 years. Of course it doesn't help that I have to drive nearly an hour to get to a decent theatre with stadium seating. A run down theatre with no leg-room is only 30 minutes away, but if I wanted to overpay while having my knees wedged in to the seat in front of me, I'd fly more.

I really don’t get some people. Or “they” in this case. Especially sucks given PY is currently signicantly below Flex. That won’t be he case at t-3 days. If Flex is even still available.

IMHO the Pixel is not a very innovative phone so even with substantial marketing dollars it will not be able to take the Samsung devices off of their crown.
Google is just sad that it is no longer the world's biggest monopoly as Amazon is quickly getting there and will rule all of us.
Maybe Google will one day be the Microsoft's and the IBM's of the world. (= no one cares about them.)

For those who have ... ahem ... forgotten, this video was first created back in 2004. It's presented as a retrospective, looking back over the past 10 years, from the {predicted future} perspective of 2014.
Even if you've seen it before, it's worth a re-watch.

Gonna start mining some XMR for lolz. Surface is busted anyways, with free power at school, might as well go all out.
