No, they're reserved for all Altitude members and "revenue J" (which I think means "JCDZP", excluding "RI").

This would only leave out...what....codeshare PAX and foreigners?

If you want to avoid the HD, you need to fly YYZ-CDG.

Indeed, this has made me change my flying habits ;)

Personally, I believe the throne seats are inferior to the doubles with aisle access,
as long as you are in the ones that have the superior leg room. I believe those
are the ones with the table on the interior. ( I only flew this bird once, and will
not dio so again).

Again, I'm the outlier on this one. :)

Although the centre D/G seats where one's table is on the "inside", I absolutely hate being so "exposed" closely to the aisle with that lame armrest.

I've only flown the HD overseas once (many times on 156), YVR-LHR, I took a throne seat and slept like a baby. Maybe it was too much Drappier...

Covered ad nauseum in the EPIC FAIL thread.

Will write AC, as I view this as similar to a fare downgrade.

You might, AC won't.

How can you be SE and not know that AC doesn't guarantee specific aircraft on routes?

Exactly. I have experienced metal downgrades many, many times a year... and even worse - from pod to non-pod aircraft. It is what it is.

This is all temporary while the reconfiguration is being processed... J product will be consistent as of May 2016 in all 777 versions.

Means little for YVRYYZ when you end up on an Airbus.

Your telling me you'd rather connect in a different city then fly a non-stop 6 hour flight to Paris.

I'm 6'3 and I've flown the 777HD 4 times its not that bad, suck it up.

Well, there are many people out there including beyond FT who might prefer a connection than a direct flight. In this case, it might have to do with avoiding the HD, in other cases it might be timing or something else.

I'm not the only one who routed through YVR to NRT instead of taking the direct flight from YYZ - where the 788 was used last summer. In some cases, all 4 of my flights were on 788s, in other cases the TPACs to NRT were 788s and the Domestic segments were on other aircraft.

I've had 4 miserable experiences on the HD, 2 in J and 2 in PE. If I had the option of flying something else for the same money and no big impact on my schedule, I would.

We all have choices. Not just princesses. :D

It's actually that bad.

Join me on one of my annual 30+ TPAC/TATL's and I'll wear a tiara (as long as not ex-YUL, because it sucks).
