I'm 6'3 and I've flown the 777HD 4 times its not that bad, suck it up.

It's a no brainer for me.
i.e. 3-3-3 on UA Y or 3-4-3 on AC Y.
Yes, I would do that, and connect in the USA as well.

I join in your chorus of 20+ TPACS and 20+ TATLS. ^

So many self-righteous idiots on this forum. We actually spend a whackload (6+ figures) flying on AC. We d@mn well have a right to avoid a certain aircraft as well we d@mn well please. You 99% trolls here can eat my woolly mammoth dung.

This is why you trolls never get invited to airline events because your are nothing to them. We actually give good money to airlines. We d@mn well deseve to complain. If we spend $5,000 for a round trip booking, you pretty d@mn well bet we will choose a particular routing and metal.

I do not fly anywhere as often as you or Dorian and am normally back of the bus. However I do agree with your statement and personally also avoid the 77HD. I was on it last week in 31K which is AC exit row preferred seat which quite frankly sucked as there is no window and the curve of the plane at that point restricts shoulder room. The only benefit was leg room. I was also in J on the 77HD (single seat, right side) in Dec and was not impressed.

Not sure if this was addressed to me! If so, I'll just mention that from YQB, I have to connect through YUL or YYZ anyways. I leave home at about the same time and arrive at CDG about an hour later if I connect through YYZ rather than YUL...

I did not receive an email, and by the time I try to select my seat all the single ones were gone. Then had to call as seat selection was not working online.
What really irks me is I chose this route to avoid the HD, yet long and behold this happens.
Will write AC, as I view this as similar to a fare downgrade.

I dunno, the route is slated for a 777-300, that's what you got. ;)

As for inconsistent, the AC website even states that any of the various cabin configurations can be used for overseas flights.

Also, keep in mind that this time of year is when heavier maintenance is performed on aircraft, so equipment swaps are to be expected.

You got what paid for, a seat in a plane that flew you to your destination. :p

LOL this made me laugh, and proves my exact point about what I said earlier.

And FYI I spend more time in these airplanes in a span of a two months then you do all year, and couldn't care less about "airline events".

To be fair. Spending 2 hours in connection on a <8 hour flight seems excessive.
HOWEVER.
For a flight over 14 hours long(To HKG or AUS , PVG I think would be an entirely different story)

I am looking into connecting via ORD to YYZ for my next flight from PVG

Well...that means you must be part on the single most utilized aircraft on the planet. Sooo.....gimme a break.
